The Un-zen Yogi

About: I don't grow my own food and I don't use patchouli for deodorant. I get frustrated when I have to wait in line and I yell at people when I drive. I certainly have not found balance or moderation in my life. I DO LOVE YOGA. I love it as a sport, I love it as a practice and I love it as a state of mind. I hope to one day make my way to teacher training and become the perfect yogi but until then I'm just a starving student using asanas to keep me sane.
I'm just an average girl looking for my own piece of mind. Yoga is love and helps me find it one day at a time.

“Yoga has been such a positive influence on my life… and not just as an “exercise.” If you fence yoga in as just something for your physical body, you are kind of missing the whole point. Yoga has made me be positively mindful of my body… its strengths, its limitations, what it can do, and what it can learn to do over time. As any Yogini will tell you, yoga is a journey… I have been practising for over 7 years, yet I still feel I am a beginner… I get frustrated, elated, I fall over, I try again, I fall over – learning is a slow, yet rewarding process.”- Lou of Fridge Scrapings

moonlightfire asked: Oh oh oh I love your blog, I used to do yoga at home occasionally. But I would really love to do it in a class. I fantasise about becoming a teacher in it too later on in life with more experience :)

Just go to a class! the beauty of yoga is that everyone is at a different level and also…nobody is really concerned with what you’re doing because it’s all about looking in.
